My Amibtion is My Love

Amibition - it roars through the halls
it lingers beneath the skin, preparing
for the next furious cascade of powerful strikes

it is all my love
what i give to the distant ones
to my family, to my home

to honor them, i should practice
but i lose my voice sometimes

without them, my destiny gets clouded
and the lingering becomes sickness

to honor them, there is no time to waste!
i will continue to do my best and play my part

until my virtuosity can match my love

it never will.
